Attending Parliament for the Food Safety Bill

On 8 January 2025, MTAS attended the Parliamentary session for the second reading of the Food Safety Bill introduced by the Singapore Food Agency. The Bill represents a significant step towards consolidating existing food safety regulations into a unified framework, addressing the entire supply chain and emerging areas such as e-commerce and novel foods.

MTAS’ presence underscores its commitment to staying aligned with Singapore’s evolving regulatory landscape. The introduction of a comprehensive “farm-to-fork” approach enhances clarity, strengthens traceability, and reinforces confidence in the safety and integrity of Singapore’s food supply.
